C'est Mimi's shirtdress obsession is no joke, and when we stumbled upon Punicana's version, how could we resist? This is no ordinary shirtdress. Produced in their handmade cotton ikat (50% Cotton 50% Silk) with darling collar detail (zoom in on the third photo...the detail is soo cute!) and the loveliest pearl buttons, she may be our forever favorite. The chic designer loves it worn sans belt, oversized a la "frankie shop style"...we adore the coordinating belt to give it a bit more structure.
Fit Notes: Larger to size, may want to consider a size down, but the belt does pull it all together.
Fun Facts: You won't see authentic Ikat fabrics in many clothing lines as the difficult and slow production, coupled with the high cost of the fabric, is not cost efficient enough for big commercial brands to maintain their huge margins. But Turkish designer Everin Dogankay has, with Punicana, made it a bit more accessible, and loves that her pieces take you from beach to cocktail hour. Oh, and least we forget they are both eco-friendly and sustainable. Win, Win, Win!
