Amazing Amelia. One of Andion's most beloved blouses, and with very good reason. Like all Andion pieces, Amelia is 100% made by hand....yes, all that smocking and embroidery, by hand. The quality of their cotton fabrics and the work is top notch. This one is a block print, perfect for fall, the background color is more creamy than it appears in photos with lovely block florals and a touch of metallic gold running through the fabric, if you look closely. (Also layers like a dream with our cashmere chocolate vest.) A blouse that will be in your wardrobe forever. Timeless, transitional, unique and not mass produced.
The Andion atelier was founded by a family in Galicia, Spain in 1975. The Spanish family-owned workshop has designed made-to-order clothes for decades. Romantic blouses and dresses with frills, lace details, ruffles, statement sleeves, Peter Pan collars and the like abound. Each piece is custom made, by hand from carefully sourced fabrics and trims. We find the cut and fit of Andion's clothing perfect. This is the very definition of slow fashion.
