We were thrilled to meet Marianna, and learn of her small business "Mar Mar" where she creates these beautiful Italian basket bags, fully handcrafted in the heart of Salento, Italy in the Puglia region...the same place our beautiful upcycled linen shorts are made. The basket itself is handmade of olive branches, bamboo, and myrtle. It is then lined in the finest European linen and hand embroidered by skilled artisans in different charming motifs, each one is wonderfully unique. More than just an accessory, it is a piece of Mediterranean culture, turning an everyday object into a symbol of timeless style.
