One of our best discoveries of the year is Diega. Designed in France and sold at both small independent boutiques and the historic department store, Le Bon Marche, Diega was established in 2001 by Carole Petit. Petit grew up immersed in the world of fine men's tailoring where her father and uncles were a generation of traditional artisans and men's clothing tailors. Needless to say, Petit gets shirting.
Castilana is a lovely reimagined basic. They had us at stripes, but the gathered details on the placket give it that little extra touch, we love its chic, yet casual vibe. Pair with trousers, denim, or a pencil skirt, wear it buttoned up, or more open. The drape is fantastic due to the organic cotton. Just wait until you break this one in, the cotton is extraordinary and will become even softer with wear/wash.
