Handmade in Puglia, Italy (that's southern Italy, Puglia forms the heel of Italy's "boot") from vintage embroidered fabrics that the designer sources and then has local women sew into these darling shorts. If any of the original embroidery needs repaired, they take care of that too. Talk about slow fashion.... these are one of a kind and no two are exactly alike (they can normally get 2 pairs out of a vintage tablecloth for instance, but the short will always be a bit different depending on which part of the cloth was used). Every American who vacations in Puglia at a certain beach club always takes a pair (or more) home as their favorite souvenir!

**Don't over-think sizing, it's pretty flexible, and this is just a fun, throw on short, or more a skort if it fits a little bigger. They sit at high hip, a bit below bellybutton! Great for pool/beach/lake over a bathing suit too!
